There are currently seven vehicles in our fleet.
We have two large pantechnicons, which are modern and fully equipped.
Both vehicles are eleven metres in length and approximately four
metres in height.
These vehicles are used when transporting furniture
and household effects into the UK and also into mainland Europe.
They are fitted out with hot and cold running water with a sink,
a fridge to chill food and drink, one bed behind the drivers’
seat and two beds above the cab. They are also fitted with a GPS
system that helps alleviate the problems of map reading. The GPS
is updated yearly to keep up to date with new roads and road changes.
Then we have two smaller pantechnicons, which are also modern and
fully equipped. Both vehicles are approximately seven and a half
metres in length and approximately four metres high.
Only one of the two smaller pantechnicans is fitted out with beds
and these are both located above the cab. This vehicle however only
services the Isle of Man and the UK. The other pantechnicon although
slightly larger in volume does not have any sleeping accommodation
and therefore remains on the Isle of Man.
Two more of our vehicles are Luton Transits which both have taillifts
for ease of lifting. The transits both come in handy for those houses
with narrow, low and twisty driveways where other larger vehicles
would either struggle or not get to the property. They would then
be used to tranship goods from the property to a larger vehicle
or vice versa. We would also use the transits on small or part load
jobs where bringing a larger vehicle would just create more hassles.
These are also used on our archive and shredding operations because
the taillift is used to lift up shredding bins and sack trucks with
archive boxes on.
Finally we have a Nissan Delivery which is mainly used on archive
and shredding operations but also comes in handy for delivery and
collection of packing materials.
